UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL
Every now and then a portrait photographer just has to move in closer. Invading a subject's personal space is both challenging and rewarding. This Sunday Shoot was enriched with a wonderful mix of people (and a dog) who were happy to have me record them for posterity. All, except one. Do check out the screaming toddler on the first page. Perhaps I've lost my touch.

SILHOUETTE 09
For the third time we delve into the graphic possibilities of the silhouette. Subjects were asked to bring their own creativity to the project. A task they always undertake with gusto and verve.

VERTIGO 09
As the world seems to be plunging into financial meltdown it seemed timely to re-examine the fine art of falling. In this project the public were invited to really let go and plunge into a metaphorical abyss. The resulting images are an alternative to the heroic conventions of modern portraiture, not to mention being a bit of a laugh.

BRAIN ACADEMY 2
In times of global depression there should always be room for levity. Time for a really silly shoot! In this project, members of the public jumped at the chance to show their less serious side. Thank you all for helping to lift the gloom.

BRITAIN'S NEXT … WHATEVER
None of today's tv talent shows seem complete without a smoke machine. Emerging from obscurity, it would appear, is only possible with a big puff of smoke behind you. Welcome to a collection of real 'Stars on Sunday'. Most of them can't act, sing or dance. They should go far!

DECEMBER PORTRAITS '08
It was back to basics for this pre Christmas shoot. Two lights and the combined talents of a wonderfully talented group of visitors reminded Seamus why he started this mad project in the first place. High five to everyone who took part. Enjoy!

WINTER HUG
Another outing for Seamus' Hug Project. Only the hardiest of Londoners braved the bitterly cold and wet weather on this bleak winter Sunday. A warming embrace seemed to break the metaphorical ice, as it were.

SNOW BUSINESS
In what some would view as a cynical exercise to generate Christmas orders this project looks back to a golden age when snow fell and banks had money. It was so popular Seamus has decided to do the shoot next week as well. All in the name of art, you understand.

LIGHT TRAILS AT GOLD 08
GOLD was a one-day arts and music event held in Shoreditch Town Hall on Saturday 27th of September. It coincided with the official launch of the Cultural Olympiad and provided an alternative platform for the very best of London and the UK’s arts scene. Seamus' shoot tapped into all this creativity by inviting people to create their own light pictures.
