MUGSHOTS '10
Now an annual fixture on the Sunday Shoots calander, Mugshots gives everyone the opportunity to admit publicly that at some point in time they did something wrong. The undoubted glamour of the police mugshot has been bestowed on this week's confessors. Makes you wonder what it is they did.

HUG JUNE'10
Six months on and another reassuringly happy 'Hug' shoot. At times I found myself literally teaching people how to hug. I wonder if there are any openings in that line of work. Enjoy!

TABLE TOP PORTRAITS
Volcanic dust made for a slightly surreal day in London. The clear blue skies and strange quiet was cause for reflection. Meanwhile in the studio my visitors took their place at the top table for a quirky series of portraits.

VERTIGO 2010
As we totter on the brink of economic abyss it could be time for a fall. Plunging into the unknown need not be so terrible, as these images suggest. Have a nice trip.

HIGH KEY
A bright and sunny Mother's Day brought the crowds to Columbia Road this Sunday. At the last minute I broke the grim set I had been working on (my assistant said it looked like a torture chamber) and opted for a high key black and white shoot. Seemed to do the trick. This is Madeleine, one of our favorite Sunday Shoot mums.

TIMBER!!!
Simple set time again at this week's Sunday Shoot. Once more I have raided my landlord's wood supply to create a rustic timber background. Seamless paper just isn't doing it for me right now. The very cool people who joined the shoot were asked to imagine they were leaning against their Mid West shack, just shooting the breeze. Didn't they do well.

PAPER PORTRAITS
A touch of gusto and verve was asked of all who took part in this lively shoot. The tricky bit was to avoid ripping the paper any further. Most people failed. This theme has nothing to do with Christmas and I will be most insulted if anyone suggests it is a blatant attempt to generate some more print orders. Ho, ho, ho!

WINTER HUG '09
A miserable wet Sunday in an almost deserted Columbia Road Flower Market. One of the quietist Sundays I can remember. What better than a warming hug to lift the spirits. Many thanks to the hardy few who made the effort.

ME MYSELF I
Old school multiple exposures this week. The principle is very simple. Create a darkened space, open the shutter and fire the flash as the subject moves into different positions. Explaining this to everyone proved trickier than anticipated. Apologies if I let my exasperation show once or twice. I blame Simon Cowell.

CLASSIC BLACK AND WHITE
No funny business this week, just good old fashioned black and white portraits. Weather wise, this was a truly grotty day so a very low turnout. The market was a washout. Those that did brave the thundering rain made it all worthwhile.

STARS ON SUNDAY
This bright sunny Sunday brought the crowds out. The aim of the shoot was to capture something of the individuality and inner strength of each sitter. Watched by, at times, a huge audience this was no easy task for subject or photographer. Despite this some great characters emerged. Thanks to all the stars who took part.

THE RNIB PUBLIC SHOOT
Following on from his recent RNIB advertising campaign Seamus asked visitors to lend their support by taking part in an open shoot. Images from the session may be used by the RNIB as part of their ongoing awareness initiative.

The concept was to ask people to consider the question: 'What would you lose from your life, if you lost your sight?' As ever, the good will and warm spirit shown by all who took part was inspirational.

HUG - JUNE 09
This project has now become a twice yearly fixture at Sunday Shoots. The graphic possibilities each hug presents make the project both fun and fascinating to shoot. Big hug to all who took part.

MOODY(ISH)
In this shoot the intention was to shoot moody, thoughtful portraits of one and all. The problem was it was a beautiful sunny morning and everyone was brim full of happiness. Laughter was in the air and far be it from me to stop it.

MUGSHOTS 09
This week the media has had great sport exposing an alarmingly high number of MPs for their fraudulent expenses claims. It got me thinking. Who amongst us is not guilty of some misdemeanor, no matter how small, at some time in their lives. Not a one, I suspect. In stark contrast to our public representatives, visitors to the shoot were happy to line up and openly admit their guilt.
