Photographing so many different people in exactly the same set-up for each Sunday Shoot might seem, at first sight, to be a recipe for repetition and tedium. In fact, Seamus Ryan's collaboration with the public has really demonstrated the spontaneity and individual creativity of each subject. As Seamus himself says, he is constantly amazed by "the willingness of the public to throw itself full length into the creation of very individual works of art". One of the delightful treats of each Sunday Shoots project is being able to look at all the images together, seeing how those ideas develop and change throughout the session. It was this that led Seamus to the idea of making 'movies' out of these individual images. There are a number of these movies in the making, based on different projects, which will be presented here as soon as they are ready. In the meantime, here is the first, unfinished 'test' or work-in-progress, based on the images from project Hug. We hope you find it interesting.
